Job summary

The City of Cedar Park is seeking an Irrigation Technician I/II to perform skilled labor in irrigation maintenance, installation, plumbing, and electrical repair across City facilities.

Responsibilities include programming the Hunter Central Control system, conducting inspections, repairing thousands of sprinklers, valves and backflow devices, and collaborating with contractors and staff to conserve water.

Qualifications

• Two years of general maintenance experience.
• TCEQ Irrigation License within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and program Hunter Irrigation Central Control computer system.
• Inspect and audit irrigation systems 2–3 times per year.
• Repair leaks and maintain 6,000+ sprinklers and valves.
• Install, repair and maintain irrigation valves, RPZs and backflow devices.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and City staff.
