• Must work outdoors in all weather conditions; lift up to 50 lbs and walk 10+ miles daily.

Job description

Cutters Edge is searching for a licensed and experienced Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and restore irrigation systems in a safe and sufficient manner. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position and we pay weekly!

Responsibilities

• Monitor and test new irrigation installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups and overall operation of the irrigation system.
• Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems.
• Diagnose problems with electrical meters and pumps, make necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working conditions.
• Install time clocks that operate irrigation systems.
• Maintain records and submit reports on conditions of all irrigation systems.
• Assist in supervising work crew, as directed.
• Interact with customers as needed to perform duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the installation, inspection and repair of irrigation systems; experience with large pump stations is ideal
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Must have Knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
• The ability to create and read property site maps is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings, as required.
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the trade and of the proper use of safety practices.
• Enjoys multi-tasking and possesses strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk 10+ miles a day
