SS Landscaping Services, Inc. is seeking an Irrigation Technician for our Service Group in Washington. The role focuses on irrigation start-ups, winterizations, and ongoing maintenance for interior and exterior systems, with competency in diagnosing issues across drip and spray setups.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in landscaping/irrigation, a valid WA driver license, and the ability to read plans and communicate in English. A strong work ethic and leadership on-site are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Ability to review, comprehend and apply plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform irrigation start-ups and winterizations and related maintenance for interior and exterior areas.
• Diagnose functional issues with drip irrigation, spray systems, two-wire and conventional wired systems and components.
• Participate in irrigation installation across all phases and components.
• Troubleshoot small sprinkler problems to restore proper operation.
• Ensure work is conducted safely, professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate with account representatives to resolve issues and report site status.

Responsibilities

• Perform irrigation start-ups and winterizations and associated maintenance for interior POC's i.e. mechanical rooms, as well as exterior.
• Expert knowledge and ability to diagnose functional issues with drip irrigation, spray systems, two wire and conventional wired systems and associated components (mainline, laterals, double-check assemblies, all irrigation timers).
• Expert knowledge and ability in all phases/components of irrigation installation.
• Solve small sprinkler problems (wire valves, fix leaks, mend broken sprinkler heads) to make systems work properly.
• Assures activities are carried out in a professional, safe and efficient manner.
• Contacts account representatives to resolve problems, answer questions and provide site status, as appropriate.
• Responsible for security, operator maintenance and proper use of all assigned equipment (truck and tools).
• Must demonstrate leadership at all times.

Qualifications

• Able to review, comprehend and apply plans and specifications corresponding with each project.
• Can read and write proficiently in the English language.
• Ability to communicate verbally to the necessary personnel.
• Must have valid Washington State driver license.
• High School education or General Education Degree (GED), minimum.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the landscape and irrigation field/industry.
• Physically capable of accomplishing the physical labor associated with landscape construction.
• Physical ability to perform duties and tolerate job related materials and severe weather conditions.
