Roberts Resorts & Communities seeks an Irrigation Technician to manage daily watering operations and maintain course irrigation systems. You will monitor water levels, adjust schedules, and perform repairs on pipes and sprinklers, working independently to support overall course health.

Ideal candidates should have 1–2 years of irrigation experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to perform semi-skilled tasks.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of irrigation system maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with landscaping or golf course maintenance is advantageous.
• Experience operating irrigation equipment (sprinklers, pipes, controllers).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team; safety-oriented.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular maintenance checks on irrigation systems within designated areas, ensuring proper function and efficiency.
• Cleans and adjusts sprinkler heads to maintain optimal coverage; replace/repair damaged equipment as needed.
• Sets and verifies timers for irrigation schedules and addresses irrigation-related requests.
• Executes additional golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the Superintendent.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Irrigation Technician plays a vital role in the daily upkeep of the golf course by overseeing watering operations and maintaining irrigation systems. They are responsible for monitoring and adjusting water levels to ensure optimal turf health and course conditions. Additionally, they perform repairs and upkeep on irrigation pipes and sprinklers as needed. Working independently and without direct supervision, they handle a variety of tasks related to irrigation maintenance and construction, including semi-skilled work and other duties as assigned.

Performance Objectives:

• Conducts regular maintenance checks on irrigation systems within designated areas, ensuring proper function and efficiency
• Cleans and adjusts sprinkler heads as necessary to maintain optimal coverage, promptly replacing or repairing any damaged equipment
• Sets and verifies timers/clocks to guarantee accurate irrigation scheduling and promptly addresses all irrigation-related requests
• Executes additional golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the Superintendent, contributing to overall course upkeep and appearance
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to two years of relevant experience in irrigation system maintenance, repair, or similar field.
• Familiarity with landscaping or golf course maintenance practices is advantageous.
• Experience operating irrigation equipment such as sprinklers, pipes, and controllers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Commitment to safety protocols and practices in a work environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Constantly stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel; Frequently use arms and hands
• Manual dexterity for using golf equipment
• Clear vision and hearing to communicate effectively
• Capability to lift up and carry up to 20 pounds
• Depending on the season, there is a possibility of encountering cold temperatures, heat, humidity, rain, and cold temperatures.
