Job summary

University of Arizona in Maricopa, AZ seeks a Research Technician I (Extended Temporary) to support irrigation research through field and lab work. You will collect soil and plant samples, install soil moisture sensors, and gather data under supervision at the Maricopa Agricultural Center.

Responsibilities include using specialized equipment, maintaining fields, preparing lab samples, and assisting outreach events to share findings with growers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required or equivalent.
• Prior experience in agricultural research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Soil and plant sampling at the Maricopa Center and local farms.
• Monitor soil moisture using neutron meters and sensors for irrigation research.
• Maintain experimental fields and assist with lab sample prep and analysis.
