Job summary

Nouria Energy Corporation is seeking a landscaper/irrigation technician to support irrigation operations and landscape maintenance at Nouria sites. You will test, adjust, and install irrigation systems, and work with soil, mulch, and plants to enhance grounds.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of irrigation and horticulture, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Clean driving record and weekend availability are needed.

Essential Functions

• Perform irrigation duties including testing and adjusting irrigation systems to ensure successful operation.
• Proficient in landscape irrigation systems.
• Installation of required material for landscaping / irrigation.
• Ability to safely cut grounds using hand, power or riding mower for trimming edges around walkways, beds, and walls, ensuring the sites are left to Nouria standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading work trucks/trailers during the day.
• Move and install soil, mulch, and plant materials that enhance the landscape gardens and related area of our sites.
• Operate mechanical equipment such as skid steers, back hoes, dump trailers, chainsaws, and others.
• Perform landscaping duties including planting trees and shrubs, planting daylilies and other foliage, excavation, grading, site preparation, irrigation systems, seeding, and mulching of beds.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it conforms with Nouria standards.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of trees, landscape plants, annuals, perennials, and horticultural practices.
• Understanding of irrigation systems.
• Clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of experience.

Job Related Skills

• Works independently with little supervision and also as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• 4+ years irrigation system knowledge (preferred).
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as a skid loader and snow removal equipment.
• Experience utilizing landscape power tools, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, head trimmers, and chainsaws.
• Experience with tree removal and pruning.
• Must be able to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time.
• Available to work after hours or weekends when necessary.
• Must use email and internet dispatching applications currently utilized by Nouria Energy.
• Compliance with all company policies & procedures.
• Mandatory use of appropriate protective equipment.
• Must communicate with supervisor.
