SSC Services for Education is hiring an irrigation I technician to join our field team in Moore, OK. You will perform routine irrigation maintenance, repair underground sprinkler and drip systems, and operate related equipment.

Requires two years of irrigation repairs experience and the ability to lift 25 pounds repeatedly. The role offers full-time schedules, benefits, and opportunities for training and growth within a national facilities service provider.

Responsibilities

• Repairs existing underground sprinkler and drip systems, including malfunctioning heads and nozzles.
• Adjusts spray heads for correct coverage.
• Mitigates irrigation-related safety hazards.
• Operates equipment.
• Applies a surgical approach to all work.
• Maintains professional communication with technicians, irrigation supervisor and the general public.
• Deploys for emergency response due to inclement weather, i.e. snow and ice, tornado or other crisis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• We are hiring immediately for full time IRRIGATION I TECHNICIAN positions.
• Location: Moore Public Schools - 1500 Southeast 4th Street, Moore, OK 73160. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; days and hours may vary. First shift. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: Prior landscaping experience is required.
• Pay Range: $20.00 per hour to $23.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs routine labor associated with irrigation management, including digging, pipe repair, head/valve replacement and small equipment operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Repairs existing underground sprinkler and drip systems, including malfunctioning heads and nozzles.
• Adjusts spray heads for correct coverage.
• Mitigates all irrigation-related safety hazards.
• Operates equipment.
• Applies a surgical approach to all work.
• Maintains professional communication with technicians, irrigation supervisor and the general public.
• Deploys for emergency response due to inclement weather, i.e. snow and ice, tornado or other crisis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Extensive driving, walking and equipment operation. Exposure to: extreme weather conditions, pesticides, fertilizers, pollen producing environment, paint and petroleum products. Work time expectation: 90% of time will be physical labor, 10% training and misc.
