Job summary

Huitt-Zollars’ Dallas, Texas office is seeking an experienced Texas Licensed Irrigation Designer for an immediate full-time opportunity. The role involves designing irrigation systems that meet client requirements, schedules and budgets, and creating detailed installation drawings.

You will support landscape designers and senior staff, perform irrigation master planning, cost estimating, and assist with site analysis across a range of project types. Proficiency in AutoCAD and LandFX is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas Licensed Irrigation Designer license.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a designer.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and LandFX.

Duties

• Evaluate site conditions, water availability and landscape development.
• Design an irrigation system that meets the client's requirements, schedule and budget.
• Create detailed drawings that specify which types and brands of products should be used and how they should be installed.
• Assist landscape designers, landscape architects and senior staff with research, site analysis and irrigation construction documentation for a wide range of project types.
• Irrigation master planning, producing precise and consistent irrigation construction drawings, cost estimating, accurate project detailing, and landscape design assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Texas Licensed Irrigation Designer.
• Minimum 2 years' of experience as a designer.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD and LandFX.

This position will office out of our Dallas, TX location in a 'Class A' office space including a state‑of‑the‑art gym (no cost), covered parking, food court, and more.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
