Job summary

Sunrise Landscape in Tampa, FL is seeking an Irrigation Crew Member (Installation) to support commercial and public properties with irrigation labor. You will safely operate our equipment while performing hands-on landscaping tasks to keep projects on schedule.

This role requires teamwork, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to drive company vehicles when needed. Experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is preferred, with a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a drug test.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of related experience in construction, plumbing helper, or landscaping roles.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform outdoors in Florida heat.
• Able to work well in a team and be dependable.
• Experience with landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred.
• Familiarity with landscaping equipment and safety practices.
• Valid driver's license (3+ years) and clean driving record; able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools (rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, etc.) and move irrigation materials to the work area.
• Install irrigation components and related materials in prepared areas.
• Dig trenches and install drainage and irrigation lines and heads.
• Safely operate landscaping equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Drive company vehicles to transport crew and materials to job sites.
• Prepare job sites and maintain a neat, safe work area.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE; interact professionally with clients on-site.
• Collaborate with crew and supervisors; assist in training new team members.
• Maintain daily activity records and report incidents promptly.

Job Summary:

Your role would be to serve our clients in the field by providing Irrigation labor support to commercial, private and public properties. You will be required to safely operate our equipment to complete your daily responsibilities. This role combines hands‑on landscaping work with essential driving duties to ensure smooth and efficient operations on job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Works with various earth materials using hand tools such as rakes, shovels, picks, hand saws, wheel barrels, axes and other tools which may be required.
• Hauls topsoil, greens mix, gravel and sand, grass seed and sod and irrigation materials, including pipe, joints, heads and wire, to work area.
• Installs topsoil, greens mix, gravel and sand, grass seed and sod, pipe, joints, heads and wire in prepped work areas.
• Digs holes, trenches, and backfills to install drainage, irrigation mainline, lateral lines, and irrigation heads.
• Equipment Handling: Operate landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools safely and effectively. Conduct regular maintenance checks and report any equipment issues to the Crew Leader.
• Driving Responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport crew members, equipment, and materials to and from job sites. Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition and conduct routine inspections.
• Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation and clean‑up of job sites. Ensure that all areas are left neat and tidy, removing debris and waste according to company policies.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while working on job sites and driving. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients on‑site. Address any customer inquiries or concerns in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with crew members and supervisors. Assist in training new team members as needed.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, vehicle mileage, and any issues encountered during operations. Report any incidents or accidents immediately to the Crew Leader.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of related experience as a plumber's helper, general construction laborer, pipe layer, or related field.
• To be at least 18 years old and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• To perform physically demanding tasks in the Florida heat.
• To be dependable and able to work well in a team.
• Proven experience in landscaping or ground maintenance is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating landscaping equipment and tools.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to landscaping and driving.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
• To qualify as a Driver of our crew, in addition to the above, you must:
  • Possess a valid driver's license (of at least 3 years) and a clean driving record.
  • Be able to pass a drug test.
