Job summary

LPR Construction is seeking a Raising Gang Foreman to supervise work crews and coordinate materials and equipment for each project. This on-site role focuses on structural ironwork, particularly raising gangs, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You will ensure safety, quality, and efficient scheduling while maintaining field data and building strong customer relationships. Per-diem, travel pay, and comprehensive benefits are offered; position based in Louisville, KY.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Structural Steel, 3+ years Precast Erection in craft supervising
• Flexible schedule to work additional hours
• NCCER Gold Rigger Card preferred or pass Rigger Signal Assessment
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew performance and provide feedback and coaching.
• Coordinate with other foremen to ensure workflow, quality, and safety.
• Ensure crew safety and identify/address risks to sustain zero injury culture.
• Ensure work quality per LPR quality plans and designs.
• Review designs to balance schedule, cost, quality, function and aesthetics.
• Record field operations data into project files and payroll time entry.
• Plan and schedule equipment for the area of responsibility.
• May perform labor tasks such as welding, bolts, layout, unloading trucks, operating heavy equipment.
• Report accidents to GF and Safety Dept within one hour after EMS steps taken.

Job description

The Raising Gang Foreman has the function of supervising work crews and coordinating their materials and equipment requirements for each assigned project. Thrives in a fast-pace environment and works to complete assignments in a quick and efficient manner. Highly knowledgeable in Structural Ironwork, specifically in raising gangs.

Required Skills

• Participate in an employee’s annual performance evaluation and give direct one on one feedback and coaching to team members about their skills and performance. Set clear performance goals/expectations for team and each member.
• Communicate and coordinate with other Foreman at the job site to ensure optimal workflow/Quality and safety.
• Responsible for the safety of LPR personnel assigned to him/her. Identify, notify of and resolve any risks that are inherent in the construction of the project striving for proactive and intentional leadership in zero injury safety culture.
• Responsible for the quality of the work done by her/his crew by adhering to LPR Quality plans and designs to meet or exceed the quality control plan.
• Maintaining efficient construction review of design to identify optimum balance between schedule, cost, quality, function and aesthetics. Participate in implementing effective schedule changes.
• Thorough, timely and effective input of data that relates field operations into project files, logs, records including payroll time entry.
• Planning, coordinating and scheduling equipment needed for work area of responsibility.
• Foreman may perform labor in completing crew tasks i.e. welding, installing bolts, layout, unload trucks, operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, etc.
• Report all accidents to the GF and Safety Dept. within one hour after necessary EMS steps have been taken to care for injured worker, or secure job site for continued safety.
• Establish and maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers.
• Ability to understand and execute erection drawings.

Required Experience

• Structural Steel 5 years +, Precast Erection 3 years + experience in craft supervising
• Flexible schedule to work additional hours including.
• Rigger Signal Experience
• NCCER Gold Rigger Card certification preferred. However, not required as long as they can pass company's Rigger Signal Assessment.
• OSHA 30 Certified preferred, however, not required.
