Job summary

Graywolf is seeking Ironworker Helpers for the Oxford, NC project site. A helper assists journeyman level craft by performing support tasks such as erecting, wrecking, repairing, maintaining equipment and janitorial functions.

Essential duties include safety, tool handling, basic construction math, rigging procedures, digging and moving materials, and lifting heavy items. The role requires at least 6 months of helper-level experience and ability to complete pre-hire requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 6-months experience as a Helper level construction worker.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Summary:

Physical/Site Requirements:

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.


• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.


• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.


• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.


• Work at heights with fall protection, work from manlifts, baskets, JLG’s etc.


• PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
