Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist ironworkers with erection and installation of structural steel components.
• Help load, unload, and organize materials and tools.
• Perform basic rigging and signaling under supervision.
• Assist with bolting, connecting, and securing steel framework.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow OSHA and site-specific safety regulations.
• Support general labor tasks as directed by supervisors.

Pay: $28/hour (DOE)
Per Diem: $70/day
Schedule: 40–60 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays and Sundays

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ironworker Helper to assist Journeyman Ironworkers on active job sites in the Calvert, Alabama area. This role is ideal for individuals with some construction experience who are looking to grow their skills in structural steel and ironwork. The helper will support daily operations, maintain safety standards, and contribute to efficient project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist ironworkers with the erection and installation of structural steel components
• Help with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and tools
• Perform basic rigging and signaling under supervision
• Assist with bolting, connecting, and securing steel framework
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations
• Support general labor tasks as directed by supervisors
