Job summary

PTMW, INC is seeking an Ironworker skilled in fabricating precise parts using various materials. You will read drawings, interpret fabrication specs, and perform cutting, grinding, drilling, and punching to tight tolerances.

Safety, accuracy, and proactive communication are essential as you maintain quality standards on a fast-paced shop floor. The role requires experience with CNC machinery, beamlines, and overhead cranes, plus the ability to read blueprints and inspection tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC machinery, beamlines, or similar automated fabrication equipment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, and punching on various materials.
• Read, interpret, and complete work from drawings, sketches, or verbal direction.
• Verify parts using tape measures, squares, calipers, and templates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE protocols, and equipment guidelines.
• Assist other departments as workload shifts.

This role requires a strong attention to detail, skilled use of various band saws, drills, punches, and hand tools, the ability to interpret complex drawings, and adaptability to rapidly changing project demands.
