Job summary

Superior Ind is seeking a skilled structural steel erector to assemble conveyors, heavy equipment, walkways, and support structures at project sites across the United States. You will signal crane operators, bolt and weld components, and align parts using erection drawings and manuals, with strict adherence to safety procedures.

This role requires 100% travel, a 11 days on / 3 days off rotation, and readiness to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Ability to rig steel for crane and read and understand erection drawings.
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals and checklists.
• Proficiency with bull pins, sleever bars, chain come alongs and hammers; unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Erection and assembly of structural steel, conveyors, heavy vibratory & crushing equipment, walkways, handrails & stairs; lay out and set steel for the crane.

• Identify and install proper hardware, ensure all pieces are fitted properly, and make decisions when needed; align motor sheaves and install drive belts.

Location

On-site at project locations throughout the United States, based wherever the current project is being conducted.
