Job summary

A steel fabrication company is seeking a Field Fabricator/Welder in Cresson, Texas. Responsibilities include cutting, shaping, and assembling raw steel into structures, using welding machines and metalworking equipment. Ideal candidates should possess strong mechanical skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and have knowledge of welding techniques. Field experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Proficient in interpreting field and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of AISC quality standards and safety certifications is a plus.
• Field experience and forklift certifications are a plus.

Field Fabricator/Welder will use various techniques to cut, shape, and assemble raw steel into pre-defined structures according to blueprints, must be proficient in interpreting field and shop drawings for construction of all types of structures.

Utilizing tools like cutting torches, welding machines, and other metalworking equipment to create the necessary components and assemble them into the final structure, requiring strong mechanical skills, above average knowledge of welding techniques.

Ability to work alone and with team members.

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Lift or carry at least 50lbs

Knowledge of AISC quality standards, safety certifications, forklift certifications a plus but not required. Willing to travel on occasion. Field experience a plus but not required,

Basic field construction a plus ability to work long than normal hours when needed.
