New York University Arts and Science, Glucksman Ireland House, invites applicants for the position of clinical assistant professor of Irish language, literature, and culture, to begin Fall 2027. This faculty position will teach Irish language and its intersection with literature and culture in Ireland and the diaspora, at undergraduate and graduate levels.

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. by appointment, with a three-course teaching load per semester, and will coordinate Irish language

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate offerings in Irish language and its literature/culture.
• Capability to mentor undergraduate and Masters students.

Aufgaben

• Teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in Irish language, literature, and culture.
• Coordinate Irish language instruction for the department.
• Organize annual Irish-language immersion days and yearly Irish-language lecture.
• Mentor undergraduate and Masters students.
