Job summary

Gridworks is seeking a Compliance Specialist to lead project-level IRA labor standards compliance for renewable energy projects. You will verify subcontractor data, monitor wage determinations, and ensure apprenticeship requirements are met across a dynamic project portfolio.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in compliance, payroll, or project coordination.
• Union certified payroll experience preferred.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage or certified payroll practices is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel; PowerBI or BI tools a plus.
• Familiarity with Procore is beneficial.
• Strong communication and data-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify subcontractor data on workforce participation, hours worked, and labor classifications.
• Monitor wage determinations and ensure workers are paid at or above prevailing wage rates.
• Track IRA apprenticeship requirements including thresholds and journeyman-to-apprentice ratios.
• Support standardized compliance documentation across teams and subcontractors.
• Maintain audit-ready compliance logs and generate internal/client reports using Excel/BI tools.
• Assist with audits and respond to external data requests.
• Coordinate with project managers, finance, and legal/compliance to ensure data flow and risk mitigation.
• Support integration between compliance tracking, payroll, and project management software.
• Contribute to tooling and reporting tool onboarding (PowerBI dashboards, payroll interfaces).
• Support training to improve subcontractor awareness of wage/apprenticeship requirements.
