Position Overview

The IR Special Procedures Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology, to assist in diagnosing and treating patients.

Responsibilities encompass operating specialized equipment such as fluoroscopy, digital radiography, and angiographic tools, supporting complex diagnostic and invasive procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The role involves scrubbing in during cases, managing supplies, preparing and positioning patients, verifying orders, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Strong collaboration and communication with patients and healthcare professionals are essential for delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program or RCIS training


• At least 1 year of relevant experience


• ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required


• BLS certification and state licensure (if applicable)


• Knowledge of imaging technology & protocols, patient communication, and teamwork


• Detail-oriented, confident in fast-paced settings, and capable of mentoring others

Physical & Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs
