Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, MO is seeking an IR Special Procedures Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology team on a PRN basis. You’ll perform advanced imaging, assist in complex procedures, and help ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include operating fluoroscopy and angiographic equipment, scrubbing in, monitoring patients, and collaborating with clinicians to deliver high‑quality care in a fast-paced environment. Prior imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program OR RCIS training.
• 1+ year relevant experience.
• ARRT (R) or RCIS required.
• BLS certification (CPR) and state licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopy, digital radiography, and angiographic equipment.
• Assist with diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Scrub in during cases and support patient monitoring.
• Ensure safety, comfort, and clear communication with patients.
• Manage supplies (catheters, guidewires, IR stock).
• Prepare, position, and protect patients during imaging.
• Verify orders, documentation, and patient responses.
• Perform other duties to support high‑quality care.

What You’ll Do

What You Need
