Job summary

OSAAVA Services seeks a Thermal / Infrared Modeling Engineer to support NASIC at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. This is an on-site, full-time role requiring an active TS/SCI clearance and hands-on IR signature analysis, plume modeling, and thermal/optical modeling experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Hands-on IR analysis and plume/phenomenology modeling experience.
• Ability to develop technical reports and data packages.

Responsibilities

• Analyze PIR and IR target intensity signatures and related phenomena.
• Analyze target signature data using empirical, measured, and modeled datasets.
• Develop and evaluate plume and infrared signature models.
• Utilize plume modeling codes and analytical tools to characterize target signatures and IR phenomena.
• Compare modeled results against observed or empirical data.
• Study infrared signature phenomena using NASIC/GSPM datasets where applicable.
• Perform specialized modeling based on analytic and mission requirements.
• Evaluate and interpret complex modeling results.
• Develop technical reports documenting methodologies, assumptions, findings, and results.
• Prepare technical data packages and supporting analytical products.
• Develop and maintain model input/output files.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, analysts, SMEs, and government stakeholders.
