Job summary

Intuitive in Peachtree Corners, GA is hiring an IQC Inspector 2 to perform visual and dimensional inspection of mechanical and electrical components, verify raw material specs, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or technical degree, 1–2 years in manufacturing quality inspection, and experience with GMP/GDP, SAP/Agile/Neptune; familiarity with 6S and basic math is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Technical Career Degree.
  • 1-2 years of working experience, preferably in manufacturing environment related to quality inspection.
  • Clear understanding of GMP, GDP, and Corporate SOPs.
  • US sites: Ability to read, write, and understand English (MX preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP, Agile, Neptune to document required test logs or reports.
  • 6S maintenance experience.
  • Basic arithmetic and tolerance calculations.
  • Follow standard instructions in routine situations.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and BOM structures.
  • Ability to use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, rulers).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent attendance according to Quality Operations guidelines.
  • Complete ISU and other required training courses on time.
  • Record test logs or daily activity reports.
  • Escalate safety, quality or other issues to supervisor.
  • Perform inspection and tests to raw material and complete inspection report.
  • Interact with computer-based software to record inspection results.
  • Create VR Quality Notifications describing problems and results when required.
  • Interpret basic mechanical drawings to understand inspection characteristics.
  • Review supplier documentation for required information/test results.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position The IQC Inspector 2 works under general direction, follows applicable department procedures and follows oral and written instruction. This position requires a highly motivated team player perform visual and dimensaional inspection of mechanical and electrical components. Inspection includes the mechanical measurement, documentation verification and test result verification. The inspector will verify the raw material meets the specifications required by the products. This position also works cross-functional with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to evaluate defects.

Essential Job Duties

  • Follow all corporate, safety, and production procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain excellent attendance in accordance with Quality Operations guidelines.
  • Complete ISU and other required training courses on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, in compliance with performance targets set by department.
  • Record test logs or write daily activity reports as required.
  • Escalate safety, quality or other issues with supervisor or manager as needed.
  • Performs inspection and tests to raw material at the IQC area and completes inspection report; move inspected material to required physical locations based on disposition.
  • Interact with computer-based software to assist with inspection activities and record inspection results.
  • Creates VR Quality Notifications describing problems and inspection results when required.
  • Interpret basic mechanical drawings to understand dimensional inspection characteristics.
  • Review supplier’s supplied documentation to evaluate it has the required information/test results per part drawings specification.
Qualifications

Required Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or Technical Career Degree

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 1-2 years of working experience, preferably in manufacturing environment related to quality inspection.
  • Clear understanding of GMP, GDP, and Corporate SOPs.
  • US sites: Ability to read, write, and understand English (MX preferred).
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office suite

Ability to use required information systems such as SAP, Agile, Neptune to document required test logs or reports as needed.

  • Conducting 6S maintenance.
  • Perform basic arithmetic (including decimals) and calculate averages, percentages, and ranges using a calculator as needed. Determine nominal, minimum, and maximum values from specifications and tolerances.
  • Follow standard instructions and apply practical judgment in routine, standardized situations with minimal variation
  • Ability to work effectively within their team, with cross-functional teams, and independently to achieve quality objectives.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and BOM strucures
  • Ability to use standard inspection tools (e.g. micrometers, calipers, rulers, etc.).

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, load, and unload parts and materials up to 20 pounds.
  • May work in various environments, including manufacturing floors, inspection labs, or cleanrooms.
  • May involve standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting/moving objects, and using inspection tools.
  • May work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in medical device industry
  • Understanding of QMS/ERP Information Systems, such as SAP, Agile, and Neptune.
  • GD&T Knowledg

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
