Job summary

Houston Rockets -- Toyota Center is seeking an IPTV Content Manager to oversee all aspects of the IPTV system during concerts, games, and corporate events. You will design, schedule, and operate IPTV presentations, coordinating with event operations, technical staff, and production teams to deliver a flawless experience for performers and audiences.

The role requires at least five years in arena technical systems, experience with IPTV/content management, and familiarity with content editing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in event or arena technical systems.
• Experience with IPTV or content management systems (VITEC, Tripleplay, Wipro, Ross Video, Daktronics Show Control).
• Knowledge of legacy RF video distribution systems.
• Experience in graphic and video editing software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
• Strong organizational and planning skills, multitask effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IPTV system setup, operation, design and scheduling for all Toyota Center events.
• Supervise assigned staff, including training, performance reviews and issue resolution.
• Coordinate IPTV content with game presentation, event coordinators, and AV teams.
• Maintain IPTV hardware, perform upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Work with providers and contractors to ensure clean signals across all arena areas.
• Organize equipment storage and perform regular system checks.
• Ensure content and design align with Toyota Center's brand standards.

Job description

The IPTV Content Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IPTV system within the Toyota Center. This includes managing the setup, operation, design and scheduling of the IPTV system during events such as concerts, games, and corporate functions. The Manager will work closely with internal teams, including event operations, technical staff, and production teams, to ensure seamless execution of IPTV presentations, ensuring an optimal experience for both performers and audience members.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities for assigned staff in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing issues and solving problems and regularly communicating with staff.
• Perform and supervise daily operations of the IPTV System including new content layout, content management, and event scheduling
• Assist Game Presentation with IPTV coordination of gameday production.
• Establish requirements with Event Coordinators and delegate responsibilities within AV department.
• Handle maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs of IPTV systems and components.
• Work with CATV/IPTV provider to maintain sufficient level of clean signal to televisions in all areas of the arena.
• Handle relationship with contractors/vendors of maintenance and repairs.
• Assist team video personnel, broadcast personnel and third-party technical personnel.
• Organize and maintain all equipment in designated storage and work areas.
• Perform periodic and accurate systems checks.
• Ensure all content and design adhere to the Toyota Center’s design philosophy and brand

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School or GED diploma, College degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in event or arena technical systems.
• Previous experience working with IPTV or content management systems preferred (VITEC, Tripleplay, Wipro, Ross Video, Daktronics Show Control).
• Working knowledge of legacy RF video distribution systems a plus.
• Experience in graphic and video editing software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.) a plus.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, ability to multitask.
• Excellent customer service skills validated through demonstrated ability to interact well with others.
• Will be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights and weekends.
