Job summary

Phoenix Group seeks an IPT Recorder to support Navy inactive ship programs in Newport News, VA. This on-site role focuses on meeting management, documentation, and action-item tracking across multi-stakeholder environments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in defense or government programs, is highly organized, and can maintain accurate records and schedules while coordinating with NAVSEA and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in defense/government environment.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SharePoint experience a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the official recorder for IPT meetings, working groups, and program reviews.
• Capture, organize, and distribute meeting minutes, action items, decisions, and follow-up assignments.
• Maintain and track open action item logs; follow up with responsible parties to ensure closure.
• Coordinate meeting logistics including scheduling, agendas, attendance tracking, and pre-read materials.
• Maintain organized records of program documentation and deliverables per requirements.
• Support development and maintenance of program schedules and status trackers.
• Interface with NAVSEA and contractor personnel to support coordination.
• Prepare and distribute program status reports and briefing materials.
• Assist with contract deliverable tracking and submission.
