Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking an IPT Lead Engineer to drive technical oversight and hands-on design for TVC actuation systems within our Space and Defense Group. The role leads cross-functional teams, coordinates end-to-end development, and interfaces with major customers on complex programs.

Ideal candidates bring extensive space systems design experience, senior leadership for technical teams, and a proven track record in risk management, earned value management, and program scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance (S) with TS preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree; 5+ years with a Master's.
• Experience across space systems design, development lifecycle, and customer reviews.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage risk and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated product team (IPT) oversight, direction, and hands-on design for TVC actuation system.
• Coordinate end-to-end design, integration, testing to meet program requirements.
• Develop and maintain plans, schedules, and basis of estimates for tasks.

As an IPT Lead Engineer you will be supporting generational development programs, working closely with Lockheed Martin and Northrup Grumman on developing and delivering hardware that supports an advanced anti-ballistic missile defense system and the next-generation intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).With broad technical autonomy, this role leads the review, design, development, and implementation of engineering systems or programs. Serving in an advisory or leadership capacity, it oversees complex problem-solving, guides staff, and develops multi-year plans to deliver compliant, a well-documented solution. Responsibilities also include ensuring integration, testing, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.As the primary technical contact, this position coordinates across teams, users, and external partners throughout the development cycle. It manages staffing and collaboration, anticipates future engineering needs, and supports business growth through new and expanded opportunities.**To be considered for this IPT Lead Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:*** Must have or be able to obtain a clearance S (TS preferred)* Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows: 10 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 5 or more years of experience with a Master’s degree.
