Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer (IPT Lead, Electrical Engineering) for on-site work in Herndon, VA. The role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of complex sonar components with both manual and automated methods.

You will guide test strategies, collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and systems teams, and provide instruction for repair and integration activities. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree with 9+ years relevant experience; or 13+ years in lieu of degree.
• 4+ years hardware development across full lifecycle; interdependencies with firmware/software/systems.
• 2+ years cost/schedule management on a development program (EVMS or CAM).
• 2+ years leading an Integrated Product Team or cross-functional tech team.

Responsibilities

• Lead IPT in planning, integration, and reporting of test activities across the program lifecycle.
• Develop test strategies, plans, traceability, and final test documentation per requirements.
• Coordinate hardware, firmware, software, systems, manufacturing, and quality for test readiness.
