  • Physical Fitness: Must pass a DOT physical exam.

Responsibilities

  • Safe Transit: Safely operate a school van on designated routes and according to a set time schedule.
  • Student Supervision: Maintain order and discipline among students in the van following district policies.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking tires, lights, brakes, etc.) to ensure the van is in peak operating condition.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Education regulations.
