Job summary

Watts & Associates Recruitment represents a top Am Law 100 client seeking a Trademark Litigation & Intellectual Property Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Chicago, IL office.

You will handle trademark, copyright and related IP disputes, work with senior partners, gain exposure to federal court and TTAB matters, and take ownership of discovery, briefing and enforcement workstreams in a dynamic, entrepreneurial IP practice.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant litigation experience.
• Trademark, copyright or broader IP disputes experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing and advocacy skills.
• Strong discovery and case-management fundamentals.
• Excellent academic credentials and JD from a top law school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions and substantive briefs.
• Handle written discovery and document production.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions.
• Support trademark and copyright enforcement strategy.
• Manage TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings.
• Advise on false advertising and unfair competition.
• Work with experts, witnesses and client teams.
• Prepare hearings, mediations and trial materials.
• Contribute to settlements and risk-management advice.
