Job summary

WilmerHale is seeking a Technology Specialist in Washington, DC to support the Intellectual Property practice. The role includes reviewing code, preparing patent applications, and assisting with patent-related analyses for attorneys.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree (master’s or PhD preferred) in CS/EE, with experience reading C, C++, Python, or Verilog, and familiarity with AI/ML technologies. ABA law school path is part of the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree required; Ph.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and analyze software source code and related technical documentation.
• Assist patent-related analyses and prepare patent-related materials.
• Support lawyers in various IP matters including patent prosecution, opinions and litigation.
