Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking Mobile Vehicle Inspectors in Iowa, covering Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and nearby areas. This role involves on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients, detailed documentation, and acting as a brand ambassador for Cox Automotive.

There are multiple levels (Level 1- Senior) with varying requirements and hourly pay scales. Candidates should be prepared to operate with increasing independence, strong judgment, and dealer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years automotive-related experience preferred (Level 1).
• 3+ years automotive-related experience preferred (Level 2).
• 5 years automotive-related experience (Senior).

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Inspection & Documentation: Conduct inspections per Manheim standards and document condition.
• Client Engagement & Territory Management: Build trust with dealers and expand inspection volume.
• Reporting, Tools & Collaboration: Submit daily reports and use Salesforce for tracking.
• Safety, Compliance & Standards: Maintain safety and comply with inspection standards.
