E-Space is building a high-velocity, space-based IoT platform. We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and maintain backend services powering connected devices, across cloud services, APIs, data pipelines, and real-time communications.

You will work on an on-site, exempt position in our Saratoga office, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship features end-to-end and raise system reliability. This role emphasizes hands-on engineering and pragmatic problem solving.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build and maintain the backend platform powering our connected-device products. You will work across cloud services, APIs, data pipelines, fleet management, and real-time device communications.

This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys building production systems, solving practical problems, and working closely with embedded, hardware, frontend, and product teams.

This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

E-Space is not currently able to provide employment sponsorship for candidates who do not hold work authorization for the location of this role.

In your first 90 days, you will have mapped the current embedded software architecture, identified the highest-priority gaps, and shipped at least one meaningful feature end-to-end. Within six months, you will have established a team testing standard, introduced measurable improvements to firmware reliability, and built strong working relationships with hardware and systems engineering.
