Job summary

Air Apps seeks a Mobile Software Architect to design scalable, high-performance mobile architecture, primarily for iOS, with cross-functional collaboration across product, design, and engineering.

You will lead architecture strategy, establish coding standards, and mentor engineers to advance the mobile ecosystem. Strong expertise in Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and CI/CD is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of mobile development with an architecture focus.
• Expert in iOS with Swift; Objective-C knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UIKit/SwiftUI/Combine and modern iOS frameworks.
• Familiarity with Android development (Kotlin/Java) is a strong plus.
• Experience integrating with APIs, handling storage, caching, and background tasks.
• Strong knowledge of App Store submission, mobile security, and compliance guidelines.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.
• Clear communication of architectural concepts to technical and non-technical teammates.
• Passion for clean code, design patterns (MVVM, VIPER), and scalable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the mobile architecture strategy for scalable, maintainable foundations across projects.
• Focus primarily on iOS architecture, libraries, and platform-specific patterns while understanding Android frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to align architecture with product goals and user experience.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and performance guidelines.
• Lead architectural reviews and guide refactoring and scaling of apps.
• Design APIs, SDKs, and modular components reusable across teams.
• Guide decisions around third-party libraries, mobile tooling, and build/deploy pipelines.
• Partner with backend and cloud teams for seamless app-service integration.
• Stay current with trends in mobile architecture, performance, and security.
• Mentor mobile engineers and elevate the team’s technical proficiency.
