Matic Robots Inc. in Menlo Park, CA, seeks a senior iOS software engineer to own the iOS stack, delivering an intuitive interface for interacting with our home robots in real time.

You will collaborate with Design, Software, Algorithms, and Hardware teams to ship 3D graphics rich experiences, including real-time mapping and time-lapse interfaces, while maintaining high quality and performance in a fast-paced startup.

Formación

• Experience building iOS applications from end-to-end with focus on 3D graphics or game development.
• Fluency in Swift, Rust, and/or Python; C/C++ and Android knowledge a plus.
• Strong mathematical foundation beyond frontend development.
• Familiarity with shaders, transforms, and rasterization pipelines is a plus.
• Proven track record of mobile launches and a passion for high-quality UX.

Company Overview

Our first product, also called Matic, is a Wall-E-esque floor cleaning robot. We've built what amounts to "full self-driving in the home" with real-time 3D mapping, adaptive path-tracking, and a precise semantic understanding of the home. Our breakthroughs in spatial AI allow Matic to work reliably in real homes, using only RGB cameras and neural networks running on-device.

About the role

We're looking for a senior-level software engineer who can own our iOS stack and ensure that it serves as an intuitive, visually appealing interface for the connections between our robots and the humans who use them.

What you'll do

• Build a mobile app that enables delightful, multi-modal interactions between humans and robots and mirrors the real world in 3D in real time.

• Create first-of-its-kind mapping, scrollable time-lapse, and dynamic user interface on a 3D world that's super intuitive and feels like magic to users

• Closely collaborate with our Design, Software, Algorithms, and Hardware teams to bring to life a product vision that changes users' perception of what's possible

• Be part of a small team of talented engineers, with huge impact on the trajectory of our product

What we look for

• Experience building iOS applications from end-to-end, especially with a focus on 3D graphics or game development

• Systems-level fluency in Swift, Rust, and/or Python is required; experience with C/C++, Objective-C, or Android development is a plus

• Comfort with math fundamentals that go well beyond front-end development

• Familiarity with vertex and compute shaders, coordinate-space transforms, and rasterization pipelines is a plus

• Strong product and design intuition driven by a genuine obsession with user experience

• Proven track record of mobile launches

• Pride in your programming and attention to detail

• Comfort with a fast-paced, startup atmosphere -- you don't shy away from the hard work

• Ability to take risks, a passion for learning, and no fear of failure

Compensation

Base $120,000 - $200,000

Actual Compensation will depend on skills, experience and qualifications. Base Salary is one part of the total compensation package. The role is also eligible for equity through the company's discretionary equity program, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage access to a 401(k) plan.
