Job summary

LA International is seeking an iOS Engineer for a 12 month contract with hybrid work, requiring 2 days onsite per week in London or Bristol. The role offers daily rate £400-£450 via Umbrella.

You will design, develop, and maintain iOS apps, collaborate with product and design teams, ensure performance and security, and contribute to code quality and reusable components. Strong Swift/Objective-C, Xcode, and UIKit experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
• Experience with Xcode, UIKit, and SwiftUI
• Solid knowledge of Core Data, Core Animation, Core Location, AVFoundation
• Strong understanding of MVC, MVVM, VIPER, or Clean Architecture
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and third-party integrations
• Experience with Push Notifications, Background Tasks, App Lifecycle Management
• Version control with Git/GitHub/GitLab
• Debugging, performance optimization, and memory management in iOS apps

Responsibilities

iOS Engineer
12 Month contract initially + Extensions
Based: Hybrid - 2 day p/w onsite in London or Bristol (flexible, whichever is most convenient)
Rate: £400 - £450 p/d - (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for the iOS ecosystem. Work closely with product teams to implement modern UI frameworks, integrate APIs, and ensure seamless, secure, and production-ready experiences across Apple devices.

Key Skills/knowledge/experience:

Primary Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
• Expertise with Xcode, UIKit, and SwiftUI
• Solid knowledge of Core Data, Core Animation, Core Location, AVFoundation
• Strong understanding of MVC, MVVM, VIPER, or Clean Architecture
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and third-party integrations

Secondary Skills:

• Knowledge of Unit/UI Testing (XCTest, XCUITest)
