Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Meridianville, AL team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups, ensuring accurate data entry and patient care.

The role includes travel to additional sites as needed and emphasizes compassionate customer service. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with phlebotomy certification or training, or several months of phlebotomy experience.

Phlebotomist – Meridianville, AL

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm with a 1‑hour lunch.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
