Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide care to individuals with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders as part of the Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

You will lead IOP groups, perform assessments, deliver individual and group psychotherapy, and collaborate with a treatment team to support recovery in the community. This is a day-shift, non-exempt role with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Human Services with 1 year of care delivery experience.
• Licensure as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen required.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Act 33 Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Act 34 Criminal Record Check.
• Act 114 FBI Fingerprint Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Mental Health IOP group, case management, and individual therapy sessions.
• Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and clinical interventions.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments to identify strengths, needs, and diagnosis.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record per organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Engage with clients’ natural supports and collaborate with treatment team, community members, and third-party providers.
• Attend and participate in clinical, administrative, and community partner meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
