Job summary

SpecialtyCare invites applications for its Surgical Neurophysiologist IONM Training Program starting Q1 2027. The one-year structured program blends classroom work, labs, online instruction, and operating room training to prepare you for a career in IONM.

As a full-time SpecialtyCare employee, you will relocate to your new market prior to training and may be placed in any service market. Completion of CNIM certification is required after the program, with opportunities to grow within a

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences; neuroscience, biology, bio-engineering or audiology preferred.
GPA 3.0 or higher; attach bachelor's degree transcripts to your application.
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and eager to learn.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to be on-call.

Responsibilities

Explain test procedures to the patient and describe your role in the OR.
Prepare the patient for neurophysiological monitoring by applying stimulating and recording electrodes.
Monitor the nervous system during surgery and communicate with the surgical team.
Set up and calibrate IONM equipment; adjust parameters as needed.
Document waveforms and upload records to SpecialtyCare’s IONM system.
Adhere to biomedical safety standards and ensure patient safety.
