Job description

A leading global financial services organization with diversified operations across corporate finance, asset management, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, banking, and leasing is seeking an experienced Japanese Bilingual Investor Relations Professional to join its New York office.

This position reports directly to the Global Head of Investor Relations and offers significant exposure to senior management, including C-suite executives, as well as close collaboration with colleagues in Tokyo.

The Investor Relations team is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and other market participants. The team plays a critical role in communicating the company's strategy, financial performance, and long-term value proposition to the investment community.

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Compensation: $180K-300K (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and refinement of the company's equity story and investment thesis.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly earnings presentations, investor materials, management scripts, and other external communications.
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate investor and analyst feedback to internal stakeholders and senior management.
  • Conduct shareholder targeting and identify prospective investors.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's diversified business portfolio and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate and prepare senior management for investor meetings, conferences, earnings calls, and other external engagements.
  • Accompany executive management on investor roadshows and meetings throughout the United States and internationally.
  • Monitor market trends, peer developments, analyst commentary, and investor sentiment.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives within the Investor Relations function.
Qualifications
Required
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in:
  • Investor Relations
  • Equity Research
  • Investment Banking
  • Asset Management
  • Capital Markets
  • Other related financial services fields
  • Bilingual English and Japanese, including strong reading and writing abilities in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment concepts, and corporate financial performance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and edit executive-level presentations and communication materials.
  • Understanding of Japanese corporate culture and/or experience working within a Japanese organization.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global teams.
  • Sound business judgment, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred
  • Experience interacting with institutional investors, portfolio managers, research analysts, or senior corporate executives.
  • Familiarity with the Japanese economy and financial markets.
  • Experience supporting earnings processes, public company communications, or investor-facing presentations.
  • CFA, CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional credentials.
