Article Student Living is seeking an Associate, Investments in Chicago to advance underwriting and financial modeling for acquisitions, developments, and portfolio financing. You will collaborate with senior team members across asset management and debt capital markets to drive investments and value creation.

The role requires 3–6 years of relevant experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to present clear recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in real estate investment, private equity, investment banking, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, including DCF, waterfalls, and capital structures.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical expertise; ability to build sophisticated models and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting for acquisitions and development opportunities with detailed financial models.
• Prepare investment committee materials, board presentations, and equity partner packages.
• Manage due diligence, lender coordination, and closing activities with senior team support.
• Support asset management, market research, and capital markets activities.
