Job summary

Capital Group is seeking an IRO Specialist to join the GRM Investment Risk Oversight team, providing independent risk oversight for Europe and Asia portfolios. You will support fiduciary oversight and respond to regulatory and client demands, with access to investment management systems for risk monitoring.

You will collaborate with governance groups, Boards and senior management to develop risk reporting and ensure adherence to Risk Policy, while upholding confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in risk management and/or risk reporting.
• Bachelor’s in quantitative subject such as Economics, Finance, or Statistics is preferable.

This role will be the key in supporting the senior management and a point of contact for governance groups, Boards and Clients as the person supporting ongoing fiduciary oversight as well as supporting regulatory and/or client demands.This role will have ongoing access to the investment management systems for the purpose of risk oversight and monitoring. It will be integrated globally and will require participation/engagement to global investment risk management related initiatives/queries.Key responsibilities:Responsible the ongoing and periodic oversight and monitoring of risk and compliance limits with full access to investment-related systems.Responsible for leading/coordinating risk reporting requirements as required from regulators through working with internal groupsResponsible for leading/coordinating client demands relating to investment risk managementResponsible for fully understanding, maintaining and executing the Risk Policy.Develop and provide risk reporting to senior management and oversight forums, including risk committees and boardsSupport global investment risk management related initiatives/questionsSkills/Qualifications:Deep understanding of investment risk management concepts, including market, liquidity, credit and counterparty risk.
