Job summary

InvestM Technology LLC in San Francisco is seeking a Reporting Business Analyst (Investment Management) to support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Client Reporting technology.

This role will be an expert on the end-to-end client reporting data flow - from upstream data ingestion and pipeline management through to final report generation and distribution - ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and operational resilience across all reporting channels.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in financial services with client reporting focus.
• Understanding end-to-end client reporting data flow from sourcing to distribution.
• Proficiency in SQL and querying complex datasets across data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
• Knowledge of data pipelines, staging, transformation, and data models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; independent work style.
• Experience managing or supporting technology projects within the SDLC.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Seismic, Vermilion, or comparable reporting platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert on end-to-end client reporting workflow from data sourcing through distribution.
• Develop familiarity with report templates, delivery schedules, and client data requirements.
• Triage production report incidents and resolve data issues prior to client impact.
• Translate business requirements into technical data and platform specs.
• Understand client reporting data flow from source systems to final output.
• Support and troubleshoot data pipelines feeding reporting platforms.
• Document data lineage, pipeline logic, and table/schema structures.
• Support platform upgrades, integrations, and UAT within the SDLC.
• Contribute to metadata, data dictionary, and lineage tracking initiatives.
• Maintain backlog of reporting enhancements and data quality improvements.
• Provide ad hoc data analysis for client deliverables and regulatory needs.
