If you're someone who enjoys detailed financial work, problem-solving and partnering with people across teams, this is an opportunity to build your investment operations experience in a global environment.

As an Investment Operations Analyst, you'll support the lifecycle of investments with an emphasis on collateral management. You'll work with internal teams and external partners, including brokers and custodians, to reconcile information, support margin activity, resolve discrepancies and help keep transactions moving accurately and on time.

This opportunity can be a strong fit for an early-career candidate with a finance-related degree as well as someone who already has exposure to investment or mutual fund operations. Previous investment operations experience is preferred, not required. The hiring leader confirmed that candidates entering the profession with a relevant degree can be considered.

What you'll do

  • Independently execute routine and intermediate investment operations transactions while identifying and resolving issues according to established procedures.

  • Support collateral management activities involving derivatives, brokers and custodians, including reconciling market and derivative values and supporting margin-related transactions.

  • Support incoming and outgoing collateral activity, including applicable wire activity, and facilitate the booking of applicable transactions into accounting systems.

  • Establish securities, compliance rules, accounts, and reports that help support trading, reconciliation, settlement, and client reporting processes.

  • Investigate and resolve client-data issues, trade and reconciliation breaks, and compliance-related exceptions, escalating more complex matters when appropriate.

  • Prepare reporting and maintain controls consistent with established policies and client needs.

  • Collaborate with operations staff, legal, relationship management, technology teams, banks, brokers, custodians, portfolio managers, and traders to gather information and resolve issues.

  • Continue developing your understanding of investment products, procedures, and client needs through research, learning opportunities and ongoing investment activities.

  • Contribute to projects, process reviews and system enhancements supporting global investment initiatives.

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as needed.

Who You Are

  • You have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business that has prepared you for success in an investment operations environment.

  • You bring 0+ years of investment/mutual fund operations or related experience.

  • You are highly detail-oriented and understand that accuracy matters.

  • You have strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, time-management and communication skills.

  • You communicate effectively and collaborate comfortably with different internal and external partners.

  • You can prioritize competing responsibilities, work under deadline pressure, and adjust when business needs change.

  • You can produce accurate and timely work with limited supervision.

Experience and knowledge that could help you stand out

  • Previous investment or mutual fund operations experience

  • Exposure to collateral management or collateral terminology

  • Experience working with Eagle for accounting and Excel for reconciliations or macros
