Job Description

Serves as a senior client and internal liaison for complex trade inquiries affecting investment management clients. Leads the end-to-end coordination of high-risk, time-sensitive, or recurring matters involving trade capture, settlement, failed trades, market practices, cash or position impacts, and related servicing dependencies. Establishes clear ownership and brings together Product, Operations, Risk, Technology, relationship teams, and other subject-matter experts to investigate issues, communicate accurate client-ready updates, and drive timely resolution. Translates individual inquiries into repeatable playbooks, decision trees, escalation paths, and operating procedures that improve consistency and reduce reliance on informal knowledge. Identifies recurring themes, facilitates root-cause analysis, documents corrective actions, and maintains follow-through until remediation is implemented, validated, and embedded in the operating model. Uses inquiry and issue trends to recommend process, control, data, training, and technology improvements consistent with governing agreements, applicable laws and regulations, and U.S. Bank policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically eight to 10 years of job-related experience, preferably in institutional trust and/or financial industry
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the investment trade lifecycle, including trade capture, settlement, failed-trade management, cash and position impacts, market practices, and exception resolution
  • Proven ability to lead complex client inquiries from initial assessment through resolution while maintaining clear ownership, urgency, and communication discipline
  • Experience coordinating across Product, Operations, Risk, Technology, relationship management, compliance, legal, and other subject-matter experts
  • Strong ability to translate technical trade, system, operational, and control issues into concise, accurate, client-ready guidance
  • Experience developing repeatable playbooks, decision trees, escalation paths, procedures, training materials, and knowledge resources
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills, including the ability to distinguish immediate resolution from underlying remediation and control improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to track corrective actions, dependencies, owners, and due dates through implementation and validation
  • Ability to identify recurring inquiry themes and convert them into process, control, data, training, or technology improvement recommendations
  • Strong analytical judgment and ability to assess financial, client, operational, control and reputational impacts
  • Excellent interpersonal, consultative, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes in a matrixed environment without direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority matters, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing skills

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
