Job summary

DLA Piper’s Investment Funds group is seeking exceptional law students to join the summer program in Austin, TX. We welcome 1L (2027 summer) and 2L (2028 summer) candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset who want to grow their legal skills and understand client needs.

You will receive a tailored experience working on transactional matters with pro bono opportunities, supported by a dedicated team. The 10-week program focuses on development and networking through social events and training.

Qualifications

• Interest in Investment Funds and background or education in business or finance.
• This application is open to the Class of 2029 law students.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
• Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships; comply with firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activity as described, and participate in meetings as needed.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.
