Job summary

DLA Piper seeks an associate to join its Investment Funds group in Austin, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years’ AmLaw 100 experience advising on domestic and international private equity, real estate, VC, and hedge funds, with strong secondary transaction background.

Experience in structuring separately managed accounts and carry vehicles is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on the formation and operation of domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
• Significant experience in secondary transactions, including sponsor-side and investor-side representations.
• Experience structuring separately managed accounts and carry vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on formation and operation of domestic and international investment funds (private equity, real estate, VC, hedge funds).
• Assist on secondary transactions, representing sponsors and/or investors.
• Support structuring of separately managed accounts and carry vehicles as needed.
• Demonstrate transferable skills and contribute to a market-leading funds practice.
