Job summary

Bridgenext is seeking an Investment Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines for core investment domains, spanning holding, security, relationship, and transaction data. You will work with Bloomberg feeds and a modern data platform to ensure accurate ingestion and downstream availability.

This hybrid role in the Greater Boston area requires deep knowledge of asset management data, both public and private markets, as well as a strong data engineering background.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on data engineering with ETL/ELT, orchestration and data modeling.
• Demonstrated background working with investment/asset management data beyond general financial services.
• Exposure to both public and private markets data.
• Understanding of hedge fund and/or broader investment product structures.
• Practical experience with Bloomberg data (feeds, terminal data, reference data).
• Solid grasp of investment-data structures and flows across an enterprise.
• Databricks or equivalent modern data platform experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines supporting core investment data domains (Holding, Security, Relationship, and Transaction data).
• Work with Bloomberg and other market data feeds, ensuring accurate ingestion, transformation, and downstream availability.
• Partner with investment, risk, and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data pipelines.
• Contribute to the ongoing build-out of the target-state data ecosystem as part of a multi-year roadmap.
• Support analytics use cases, with attention to Fixed Income data and analytics.
• Build and optimize pipelines on Databricks, applying engineering best practices for scalability and data quality.
• Collaborate with data architects to ensure pipeline design aligns with investment data structures.
