Job summary

Citi is seeking motivated Placement Analysts to join its Investment Banking team in Amsterdam for up to 6 months, starting January 2027. You will contribute to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and underwriting of equity, debt, and derivatives, while gaining comprehensive training and hands-on experience.

The role emphasizes rigorous financial analysis, modelling, and cross-team collaboration within a dynamic investment banking environment.

Qualifications

Final-year university student or recent graduate.
Expected to achieve, or have achieved, a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level or Grade 7 if studying at a Dutch university.
Strong interest in business and the broader financial industry.
Record of strong academic achievement, indicating capability and dedication.
Fluency in both English and Dutch is essential, with strong written and spoken communication in both languages.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze company information to support transaction execution, including industry research and organizing financial data.
Perform financial data analysis and develop financial models, including valuations, DCF, financing structures and comparatives.
Create and finalize new business development presentations communicating strategic insights and proposals.
Coordinate tasks with internal teams and external working groups to ensure timely delivery.
Prepare internal documentation ensuring adherence to control and compliance regulations.
