Job summary

PlainsCapital Bank in Denver seeks an Investment Banker Analyst to analyze and structure tax-exempt and taxable debt and derivative transactions for public finance clients.

You will assist with client marketing, prepare financial proposals, and perform extensive financial analysis using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, working with senior bankers on complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, economics, engineering, finance, or mathematics.
• Experience with DBC Finance software (a plus).
• Demonstrated interest in public sector/community service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client and marketing responsibilities including presentations to clients and bond rating agencies.
• Prepare financial proposals and in-depth presentations for current and prospective clients.
• Provide extensive financial analysis using spreadsheets and industry-specific software.
