Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an Investment Analytics Analyst to support portfolio managers and the Chief Investment Office. You will help collect, organize and analyze data to inform asset allocation and risk decisions across portfolios.

You will use BlackRock Aladdin, Clearwater Analytics, Bloomberg, Excel and Power BI to build quantitative models, perform scenario analysis, and prepare commentary on drivers of portfolio changes. Office environment in Cedar Rapids, IA with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in fixed income investment analytics, insurance investments, or institutional asset management.
• Experience in a front‑office investment role at a bank, hedge fund, asset management firm, or insurance company.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience using Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, and Clearwater Analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, produce and organize quantitative information necessary for portfolio decision‑making using tools including Bloomberg, Excel and Power BI.
• Work on recurring and ad‑hoc projects addressing market conditions and portfolio needs.
• Assist portfolio managers in modeling and analysis of asset‑liability risks such as duration, convexity, credit, reinvestment and liquidity.
• Provide analytical support for benchmark construction, trade analysis, and commentary on drivers of portfolio changes.
