A growing fundamental long/short investment firm is seeking an Investment Analyst focused on TMT, Internet focused to join its investment team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research and develop differentiated long/short investment ideas
• Build financial models and conduct company and industry research
• Analyze company fundamentals, valuation, competitive positioning, and catalysts
• Conduct primary and secondary research to support investment theses
• Monitor existing positions and identify changes to investment theses
• Work closely with senior investment professionals on portfolio construction and risk management

Qualifications

• 2–6+ years of relevant investment experience
• Strong preference for candidates from market-neutral / pod-style hedge funds
• Strong fundamental equity research and financial modeling skills
• Experience generating actionable long/short investment ideas
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of an investment process
• Candidates from traditional long/short equity backgrounds will also be considered
