Job summary

Readystate Asset Management seeks an Investment Analyst to join our Chicago-based team. You will generate hypotheses, perform analyses, and help craft investment ideas across multi-strategy approaches, including fundamental and quantitative methods.

Collaborate with the investment team across portfolio management, risk, and technology to execute ideas. You will contribute to due diligence, financial modeling, data analysis, and idea screening, supporting both equity and fixed income

Qualifications

• A passion for investing and curiosity about financial markets.
• Aptitude to perform fundamental analysis and identify key drivers of value.
• Strong communications skills and the ability to organize and condense unstructured information into a coherent investment thesis.
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to think differently and take initiative.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Python, R, and/or other data analytic tools (higher technical requirements for quantitatively focused analysts).
• Finance and accounting background are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Fundamental due diligence on existing and potential investments, including financial modeling and quantitative assessments of investments
• Quantitative research/data analysis using market and non-traditional data
• Idea generation and screening for investment opportunities using fundamental or quantitative techniques
• Execution of ad hoc projects in collaboration with other team members
